What this is, and what this is not

This is not

Couples therapy.

Couples work assumes two people with equal power; this work is built for the woman in or after a relationship where the power was not equal.

This is not

A generic intimate-partner-violence resource.

Hotlines are essential and listed on every page, but a hotline is not a recovery system.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be ready to leave?

No. You can begin with educational resources wherever you are in your recovery. Clinical needs and safety are discussed individually during intake.

Is this therapy?

IOPs and individual therapy are clinical services. Courses, quizzes, and downloadable PDFs are educational resources and do not replace clinical assessment or treatment.

Where can I receive care?

Virtual IOPs are for women in Colorado. Individual therapy is available in Colorado and South Carolina. Courses and PDFs are available nationally.

Can I start privately?

Choose a safe way for us to contact you. For virtual treatment, discuss a private place to participate with the intake team. Quick Exit does not erase your browsing history.

Built on the canon

The educational resources and clinical approach draw on established literature about trauma, coercive control, attachment, and recovery.
